On August 10, Rodman Polyships Shipyard proceeded to the delivery of the “Migjorn Jet”, construction R100202, to the shipping company Trasmapi, S.A. This is the third vessel of identical characteristics for the same client.

The “Migjorn Jet” is a high-speed ferry (class HSC) with a capacity for 350 passengers and as such it is equipped with a complete navigation and communications system in accordance with the SOLAS Chapter IV-HSC regulation. The supply and installation of this system was carried out by NAUTICAL, thus continuing with the long relationship that links us with the shipyard.

Among the electronic equipment supplied, the following stand out:

• Two radars SOLAS Furuno FAR-2127
• Electronic cartography ECDIS system Furuno FMD-3100
• Doppler speed log Furuno DS-80, SOLAS navigational echo sounder, AIS transponder
• Sailor GMDSS radio communications
• Voyage Data Recorder (VDR) Furuno VR-7000

The “Migjorn Jet” will have its base in the port of Ibiza and from there it will carry out trips between the islands of the Balearic archipelago.
