NAUTICAL has been chosen by Kalamar Ltd. (Rampesca Group form Vigo) and Nodosa Shipyard for the supply and installation of the navigation equipment, fishing acoustics, external and internal communications for the “MONTELOURIDO” freezer factory vessel destined for squid fishing in the South Atlantic.

State-of-the-art equipment and solutions have been selected for this project considering the experience of vessel “MONTEFERRO”, almost a twin of “MONTELOURIDO”, thus building an improved version based on the same project, and emphasizing in navigation safety, ergonomics for users and the future life of the vessel.

Stand out from the list of equipment that has been supplied the following: a bridge monitor management system, a gyro stabilized system for day-night vision with a low visibility camera and thermal camera, a very complete set of fishing acoustics solutions and a modern Ku-band VSAT satellite communications system that will ensure vessel performance optimisation with always-on connectivity and added value services.
